Popcorn

The ninth point of the Scout Law says that "A Scout is Thrifty". By this we mean that a Scout works to pay his way and to help others. He saves for the future. He protects and conserves natural resources. He is careful in his use of time and property.

What better way to embody this point of the law than to work to offset the cost of camping and high adventure?

Troop 29 is offering scouts the opportunity to participate in the BSA Trails End Popcorn sale. The Troop is offing all scouts a VOLUNTARY opportunity to participate in this sale. All profits from the sale will go toward offsetting scout camping/high adventure costs.

Scouts are encouraged to participate and reminded that selling approximately $850 in popcorn would have yielded enough profit to send a scout to summer camp based on this years costs.

As our troop is executing this sale here are the details:

  • All sales are to be "Take Orders" - meaning we will take orders and payment for later delivery of the popcorn.
  • We will NOT be doing any onsite product sales events!
  • We will NOT be doing ONLINE orders.
  • Scouts can start selling September 1st.
  • Scouts are eligible for all Take Order prizes offered by council.
  • All orders and money MUST be turned into the Troop no later than October 20th
  • Pick-up date for Popcorn will be November 8th
